Quality End-of-Life Care Services

Compassionate Hospice  Care for San Diego locals

Every patient deserves to be treated with respect, dignity, and compassion. It's often that both Hospice care and Palliative care get mixed or used for the same objective, even though they share a lot of services, the goal is different.

At Divine Light Hopsice all our services for Hospice and Palliative Care are home-based, to give the patients the comfort of having all their belongings and family members around them during this difficult time. It also encourages and promotes family involvement in the care process, allowing family members to actively participate in the care of their loved one, and providing opportunities for meaningful connections and quality time together.

We pride ourselves on giving our members the best care by also providing the benefit of a more cost-effective service by being at home. This instead of hospitalization, reduces the need for costly hospital stays or institutional care, and allows patients to receive care in a familiar environment, potentially reducing overall healthcare costs.

All our services can be provided where the patient needs it.

It is often that both services can get mixed or used for the same objective, even though they share a lot of services, the goals are different.

What is the difference between these services:

Palliative Care is a specialized type of medical care that focuses on providing relief from symptoms and suffering from challenging health conditions.

It is an approach that aims to improve the quality of life for patients facing complex health challenges, including those with difficult conditions.

The goal of palliative care is to provide holistic care that addresses the physical, emotional, and psychological well-being of patients, and to support patients and their families in navigating health challenges.

Hospice Care is a type of specialized care provided to individuals who are in the end of life phase. It is a holistic approach that focuses on providing comfort, dignity, and support to patients and their families during the final stages of life.

The goal of hospice care is to enhance the quality of life for patients by managing pain and other symptoms, providing emotional support, and helping patients and their families make the best decisions for their loved one

Hospice and Palliative care can be provided in the patient's home to give members of the family peace of mind that there will be assistance that honors their wishes and preferences during this challenging time
